Quirigua, Guatemala Photograph Collection, 1910-1914

Brief Description: 1910-1914.  13 black and white photographs (most measure 5" x 7") of excavations carried out at the arquaeological site of Quirigua, Honduras.  The captions on the verso sides of the photographs come from the pages of a photograph album from which these pieces were taken. The images show the work crew, stelae in various positions, altars, a view of Guatemala City, and a shote of the Copan.  These photographs may have been taken during the 1910-1914 field season led by Edgar Lee Hewett and Sylvanus Morley from the School of American Archaeology, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
